The Challenge: Sheppee Industrial Automation, a leading manufacturer of glassware components like bottles and jars, aimed to modernize its production processes by reducing the time required to swap production templates on their Nidec-powered machinery. However, they lacked the in-house expertise for integrating the required drivers and needed a trusted partner to help achieve these goals efficiently.

What We Delivered: Recommended by Nidec, Wolf Logic partnered with Sheppee to implement a solution using the latest Nidec APIs. We developed a custom graphical user interface (GUI) and front-end solution that streamlined the template swapping process, cutting it down from hours or days to just minutes.

Results: The new system achieved an estimated 90% reduction in template exchange times, greatly increasing production efficiency. Beyond the immediate goal, the system’s advanced functionality allowed Sheppee to monitor driver speeds, enabling proactive identification of wear and tear and minimizing unplanned downtime on the manufacturing line.
