How we work
Optimizing Bottle Manufacturing with Advanced Driver Integration
01
The Challenge
Sheppee Industrial Automation, a leading manufacturer of glass ware components like bottles and jars, aimed to modernize its production processes by reducing the time required to swap production on its Nidec-powered machine. However, they lacked the house expertise to integrate the required drivers and needed a trusted partner to help achieve these goals efficiently.

What We Delivered
Recommended by Nidec, Wolf Logic partnered with Sheppee to implement a solution using the latest Nidec APIs. Moreover, We developed a custom user interface (GUI) and front-end solution that streamlined the template-swapping process, cutting it down from hours or days to just minutes.
- Custom GUI Development: Created a user-friendly interface that simplifies the template swapping process.
- Integration of Nidec APIs: Leveraged the latest APIs to ensure functionality with existing machines.
- Efficiency Focus: Aimed at reducing the time required for production template swaps.

Results
The new system achieved an estimated 90% reduction in template exchange times, greatly increasing production efficiency. The results include:
- Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities: The system’s advanced functionality allows Sheppee to monitor driver speeds, actively identification of wear and tear, and minimize unplanned downtime on the manufacturing line.
- Significant Time Savings: Reduced template exchange times from hours or days to just minutes.
Long-Term Impact: By reducing downtime and optimizing template management, Sheppee Industrial Automation not only improved operational efficiency but also positioned itself for future technology upgrades and continued process improvements, ensuring sustainable growth in the highly competitive glass manufacturing industry.
